Eligibility

• Nationality: Indian citizen.
• Age Limit: Typically 18–42 years (as seen in recent TA recruitment)
• Physical Standards & Medical: As prescribed by TA rules (height, weight, medical category) — check the detailed advertisement.
• Other: Must meet region-specific domicile/residence requirement if specified.

Educational Qualifications

• For Soldier (General Duty): Matriculation (10th pass) or equivalent (in recent rally notifications)
• For Soldier (Clerk): 12th pass (10+2) with specific subject percentages in recent rallies.
• For Tradesmen: Usually 10th pass for most trades; some (eg. House Keeper/Mess Keeper) 8th pass.
• For other posts (Clerical/Station Master etc): Graduation or equivalent may be required — check advertisement.

Application Fee

• From recent TA Officer recruitment: Fee was ₹ 500/- for all categories.
• For rally-based Soldier recruitments typically “no fee” or as specified.
